Bharat Raj Agrawal is a highly experienced Senior R&D Engineer with a background in computational aeroacoustics. He is currently working at ANSYS as a Software Developer II, where he is responsible for implementing and developing algorithms for high-performance computing. He also provides benchmarking support to business partners and customers. Prior to joining ANSYS, Bharat worked as a Research Assistant at Iowa State University, where he focused on understanding broadband noise generation from Rotor-Stator Interaction in Turbofan Engines. He analyzed this phenomenon using Large Eddy Simulations (LES) and post-processed the results using Curle’s analogy to get far-field noise spectra. He also developed a novel analysis of noise reduction mechanisms for a serrated leading edge. Bharat has also worked as a Summer Research Intern at Vestas, where he created a workflow suitable for automation to prescribe turbulent velocities generated from Mann turbulence model to inlets for OpenFOAM analysis. Bharat has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Aeroacoustics from Iowa State University, a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics from the same institution, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He also attended the Argonne Training Program on Extreme Scale Computing. Bharat has a strong technical background and is skilled in software engineering and research science. He has 8.61 years of relevant experience and is a valuable asset to any organization.
